Washington D.C. -- J. A. Green & Company ("J. A. Green & Co." or the "Company") President Jeff Green published an opinion editorial (“op-ed”) in Real Clear Defense titled, “Buying American in the 21st Century.”
In the op-ed, Green argues for the need to think about supply chains in a 21st century manner by enhancing domestic production and strengthening relationships with allied nations. “Our leaders must think carefully about domestic manufacturing in a way that moves beyond the Buy American Act of 1933 but retains the law’s spirit as a vehicle to create a robust economy and well-functioning society,” Green says in the op-ed. “Put simply, we should buy products that are manufactured in the U.S., using U.S. supply chains, to the maximum extent possible. Then, we should turn to products from trusted allies to retain needed access to critical supplies and technologies.” J. A. Green & Co. has been helping businesses navigate the complexities of government since 2007. Jeff Green is a retired Air Force Colonel, former counsel for the House Armed Services Committee, and President of J. A. Green & Co., a Washington D.C. federal affairs consulting firm.
