Mark Lewis is the Vice President of Government Relations for J.A. Green & Company. In this role, he represents clients before congressional stakeholders, executive branch agencies, and independent regulatory bodies. He specializes in the Defense Authorization and Appropriations process and works to help companies achieve their goals in those relevant pieces of legislation. Mark collaborates with J.A. Green’s expert policy team to identify the best outreach and policy strategies to help clients establish the relationships on Capitol Hill they need for continued success.
Mark spent 10 years as a Professional Staff Member for the House Armed Services Committee, and then served at the Pentagon, at a Senior Executive Service level, for the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy as a Principal Director for Special Operations and Combating Terrorism. He most recently worked as a strategist and analyst for the Institute for Defense Analyses, Joint Warfighting Division embedded with DoD’s Close Combat Lethality Task Force. In uniform, he served in the Army as an enlisted soldier and non-commissioned officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment and as a commissioned Infantry officer in airborne, Ranger, and mechanized infantry units. Mark is a graduate of Georgetown University, earning both his Bachelor of Science in Russian Language and his Master of Arts, with honors, in National Security Studies. Mark holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance. |
