Jacob Koelsch
Policy Analyst |
Jacob serves as Policy Analyst for J. A. Green & Company. In this role, he conducts research to support advocacy strategies, identifies and tracks legislation and regulations that impact client priorities, and evaluates the impact of current events on the defense industrial base, foreign military sales, and the federal budget. Jacob is responsible for preparing advocacy materials for Congress, military, and industry audiences.
Before joining J. A. Green & Co., Jacob interned at the U.S. Department of State’s office of Regional Security and Arms Transfers where he focused on arms policy relevant to the Indo-Pacific region. He was also a research intern for the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies and China Studies programs, for the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis, and served as a legislative intern for Senator David Perdue (R-GA) on Capitol Hill. Jacob was born in Houston, TX and spent over a decade overseas in France before returning stateside. He graduated from Rice University in 2022 with a B.A. in Policy Analysis and Asian Studies. |
