Washington D.C. -- J. A. Green & Company (“J. A. Green & Co.” or the “Company”) President Jeffery A. Green was quoted in the widely read defense publication, C4ISRNET, about a recent executive order (“EO”) on supply chain vulnerabilities for critical materials.
On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, President Biden signed the “Executive Order on America’s Supply Chains” requiring agencies to review the risks of supply chains for critical minerals, pharmaceutical ingredients, semiconductors, and batteries. The EO mandates agencies to conduct 100-day reviews of existing vulnerabilities with in-depth assessments required within one year. Mr. Green said the diversity of sectors covered in the EO will provide the necessary intelligence for specific risk-reduction actions in the future: “It sets it up very nicely for a year or year and a half from now to make some very targeted investment in critical supply chains.” Mr. Green also noted the EO builds on efforts made under the Trump administration to secure rare earths supply chains, increase domestic production, and reduce U.S. reliance on China. J. A. Green & Co. Is a leading defense lobbying firm in Washington D.C. that has been recognized by Bloomberg and The Hill for exceptional service. Founded by Mr. Green, the firm has been helping businesses navigate the complexities of government since 2007. Mr. Green is a retired Air Force Colonel and former counsel for the House Armed Services Committee.
