Geno Autrey currently serves as Vice President of Government Relations for J.A. Green & Company. In this role, he represents clients before congressional stakeholders, executive branch departments, federal agencies, and independent regulatory bodies. Geno has experience working within the defense authorization and appropriations processes, supporting key Executive Branch stakeholders and initiatives.
Geno recently served as the Director for Strategic Partnerships and Communications with the Navy’s Maritime Industrial Base Program Office, supporting the establishment of a new program office focused on strengthening the nation’s shipbuilding industrial base. He also served as the Director for Navy Programs with the Department of the Navy’s (DoN) Office of Legislative Affairs. In this capacity, Geno directed the Navy’s legislative efforts for all DoN procurement programs, readiness accounts, C4ISR, and cyber programs. In addition to his recent assignments, Geno has more than 39 combined years of service with the United States Navy as an active-duty member and federal civilian, holding positions of significant leadership and advising the Navy’s most senior leaders to include the Secretary of the Navy and the Chief of Naval Operations. Geno is the recipient of the Navy’s Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the highest honorary award the Secretary of the Navy can confer on a Department of the Navy civilian employee. Geno holds a B.B.A in Management from the University of Oklahoma (1986), a M.S. in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School (1997), and a M.A. in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College (2004). |
