Garrett Richards

Policy Analyst

Garrett serves as a Policy Analyst for J. A. Green & Company. In this role, he provides research and analysis on proposed legislation and federal policy and evaluates the impact of current events on the defense industrial base, foreign military sales, the federal budget, and client interests.

Prior to joining J. A. Green & Co., Garrett served in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, first in Yokosuka, Japan and later in Jacksonville, Florida. He continues to serve as a Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Garrett graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2017 with a B.A. in History and Latin American Studies and received a M.A. in International Relations in 2024 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania.
